First Baby Sweater

I finished my first baby sweater! I'm especially excited because it had cables too! I made the sweater for my cousin's baby that is due in November. It's the first baby of our generation, so I'm very excited. I am actually leaving tomorrow to go visit her and will be able to give her this sweater:

The pattern is from knitty.com. It is called Trellis. I would put in the link here if I knew how, but I'm still new to the blogging and don't know how to do this. I love these buttons because they are the same and different at the same time. I chose purple yarn because it is my favorite color and I didn't want to do the typical pink for a girl. I can't wait to see the baby in this sweater. It is size "6 mos" so hopefully she'll be a big baby so I don't have to wait too long. Her parents are both very tall, so here's hoping :)

OMG that's gorgeous!! I wish I had some little ones to knit for. My daughter is 10 now and is just coming out of her 'knitting is for grannies' phase and beginning to take an interest in hand knits again.

Thanks for joining the knit1blogtoo netring. I wanted to let you know that I've added you to the members and you should receive an invite to join the team blog very soon (hopefully!).

In the meantime, feel free to have a poke about the team blog at knit1blogtoo.blogspot.com - it's a bit of a muddle at the moment but there's tonnes of links and tutorials to help you with day to day blogging.

Good luck with everything and speak to you again soon.

Best wishes..Bernie

Stumbled across your blog, and I think your baby sweater is BEAUTIFUL!! Great job--you've inspired me to take a look at the pattern! Maybe it will adapt well for a little boy?
